What are EVA Foam and Foam? is it the same?
Both are foams. It must be taken into account that the classifications of the foams can be made according to several criteria, and one of them is the type of polymer used:
- Flexible and rigid polyurethane
- Polystyrene (EPS / XPS)
- Polyethylene / polypropylene
- EVA / PA / PVDF / PVC / Latex
- Rubbers / Phenolic.
The acronym EVA stands for Ethyl Vinyl Acetate, so when we speak about EVA foam, we refer to a closed cell ethyl vinyl acetate copolymer, which is usually presented in the form of plates, being available in a multitude of densities and colors.
As it is also a thermoformable material in simple and complex shapes, it allows us, by applying heat, to mold it to manufacture a large number of products suitable for all kinds of uses
