At Zfoam we know that the future is looking towards Industry 4.0. A new revolution that is fully immersed in the digital world, in which the different manufacturing processes of our foams are permanently connected and in which robotics, artificial intelligence, big data or the so-called internet of things (IoT) play a major role.
The aim of all this is to be more agile, proactive, have a greater adaptive capacity and even anticipate our customers’ needs.

Precisamente, ZFoam is immersed in a global transformation project in relation to the Industry 4.0 strategy., incorporating different functional areas of its production process according to their specific weight in the value chain; creating flexible manufacturing systems interconnected and digitalized on an IoT platform with:
- Business and intelligence solutions such as the Implementation of the vertical tool Be.as Digital Manufacturing, which will allow us to plan at finite capacity and flexibly control our processes with Total Quality Management (TQM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). (TPM).
- Collaborative platform with SAP Business One groupware tools: collaboration, communication and interaction.
- Massive data processing with Big Data in Be.as Digital Manufacturing for data cleansing and obtaining operational and strategic KPIs.
- Advanced robotics automating supply, accommodation, evacuation, palletization and internal logistics movements with cartesian robots, anthropomorphic robots, cobots, AMR automated transport units and mobile wrapping robots.
- Sensors and embedded systems that allow continuous measurement of quality tolerances for 100% traceability of our processes.
ZFoam and digitalization in industry
We have incorporated a new robotized hotmelt parts assembly line into our facilities to increase our production capacity and reduce centering tolerances when positioning the parts.
This allows us, for example, in the case of the manufacture of foams with through cavities and a base, to work with enormous agility and millimetric precision to deliver orders to our customers as quickly as possible and with 100% reliability.
In this way, we are advancing firmly in the process of becoming part of an industry that is setting new and advanced methods of production. Following this path, we will be able to offer even better products, with shorter delivery times and the capacity to customize all of our foam solutions even further.
