We are very excited to come back to this important meeting after more than two years and this year we will present some new and very interesting products that we have added to our increasing range of high-performance ECO foams.
The importance of sustainability in packaging
The top range packaging sector increasingly demands higher quality packaging solutions aligned with the properties of its products, but it also demands that these same solutions need to be sustainable and respectful of our environment. An example of the importance of this requirement is that having a range of materials with these characteristics can make the difference between choosing one manufacturer or another to make the packaging of premium brand products.
And at ZFoam, after intense development work, we have a wide range of sustainable foams specially designed to meet all the expectations of the sector and even surpass them.
ECO and BIO foams, a sustainable luxury
At the fair we will present our ECO foams, which have all the properties, design and customization possibilities of traditional foams and our BIO foams, which offer very attractive characteristics for any professional.
Among them you will find the ZFoam LJ BIO foam, made from sugar cane, as well as the ZFoam Bio PT and ZFoam Bio PN foams, which use forest residues or used cooking oil as raw material and are certified by the Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC), an organization that guarantees its origin and traceability throughout the value chain.
We are the first European company in the sector to obtain the International ISCC certification.In addition, these three BIO foams have a negative carbon footprint, a clear example of their exceptional characteristics.
Do you know the Life Cycle Assessment of our foams?
Apart from working with sustainable foams suitable for the luxury sector that represent a clear commitment to innovation and the circular economy, at ZFoam we offer you very valuable information about them: their Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Thanks to the LCA calculator that we have developed together with the Circe Foundation, based on the ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards, we can give you objective and numerical information about the environmental impact derived from the manufacture of our products.
In addition to obtaining detailed data on the 18 environmental impacts that make up the LCA (for example, carbon footprint, water use, soil acidification or use of fossil fuels), it is possible to obtain a comparison between the environmental impact of foams for packaging and other alternative materials such as cardboard or plastic, for example.
We believe that this is very important information for both manufacturers and customers, so we are very pleased to make it available to any professional.
