Ecozote® incorporates between 30% and 40% recycled content—either post-industrial (PIR) or post-consumer (PCR)—with the same cellular structure, purity and stability that characterises its conventional equivalents. All this is achieved thanks to a clean foaming process based on atmospheric nitrogen, without chemical residues or added blowing agents.

Ecozote - ZFoam

Sustainability without compromising performance

Ecozote® was created to offer solutions with a lower environmental footprint in sectors that cannot afford to compromise on quality: automotive, aeronautics, electronics, sports, logistics, healthcare, etc.

The available grades combine different densities, colours and finishes to suit both technical designs and brand image applications. The result is a recycled foam with the same dimensional accuracy, lightness, mechanical strength and impeccable aesthetics demanded by our industrial customers.

What type of Ecozote® do I need?

The current range of Ecozote® foams offers two main lines:

  • Ecozote® LDR: incorporating a minimum of 30% post-industrial recycled material (PIR), with colour aesthetics and excellent mechanical performance. Ideal for customised solutions that require good appearance and repeatability. Available in various densities, such as LDR18 or LDR27, already approved for multiple sectors.
  • Ecozote® PE/R: formulated with approximately 30% post-consumer recycled material (PCR), with a matt black appearance and fine cell structure. The preferred option when the aim is to reinforce the circular economy message or access green public procurement programmes. The LD24 FR version adds fire-retardant properties for demanding environments such as aeronautics.

Both materials feature a closed-cell structure, high elastic recovery and low VOC emissions, making them ideal for reusable packaging, sensitive components, vehicle interiors, sports parts and more.

Segments already using Ecozote®

Presentation and protective packaging

Technical inserts with precision contours, consistent aesthetics and guaranteed repeatability. The Ecozote® option allows sustainability criteria to be integrated into packaging requiring brand image or critical protection.

Logistics and transport

Trays, boxes and supports with impact absorption and low moisture retention, designed for returnable logistics chains. Weight reduction improves transport efficiency without compromising strength.

Electronics and equipment

Protection of boards and components with customised recesses. Ecozote® allows ESD zones to be integrated by combining materials or treatments in critical areas, without affecting overall performance.

Sports and leisure

A solution aligned with our strategy

At ZFoam, we have been working for years on the transformation of sustainable foams, with processes certified under ISO 14001 and ISCC+, and a firm commitment to reducing environmental impact. Ecozote® materials fit perfectly into our range of solutions with recycled content, both in new projects and in existing developments.

In addition, thanks to our CAD design, CNC machining, lamination and thermoforming capabilities, we can transform Ecozote® into ready-to-series solutions, from prototype to industrial production.
