Polyethylene foams range of densities
Among polyethylene foams we can find different densities, depending on the type of foam and the end use for which they are intended. Thus, non-cross-linked polyethylene (PE) foams have densities from 20 to 150Kg / m³, while cross-linked foams have a range of densities from 15 to 250 Kg / m³.
Plastazote® polyethylene foams
Meanwhile, Plastazote polyethylene foamsoffer densities between 15 kg / m3 and 115 kg/m3. It is a foam available in low and high density (LDPE / HDPE), which we commercialize in the form of sheets and final pieces, and they offer special characteristics, which make them suitable for high requirements as:
- They don’t have chemical residues of foam, volatile organic compounds (VOC), HCFC and VOC.
- Offer special grades with flame retardant additives (FR and FM grades) and antistatic and conductive products (SD, CN grades).
- They are non-toxic, latex-free, reusable, hypoallergenic, and transparent for the purposes of MRI and CT scans and X-rays.
- Very effective in absorbing impacts and good thermal insulation
- They allow permanent contact with human skin.
- They prevent liquid retention and humidity.
