We are pleased to announce the renewal of our ISCC Plus certification issued by International Sustainability and Carbon Certification, one of the most widely recognised in the world where sustainability, environmental protection and the circular economy are concerned.
This renewal is synonymous with our firm environmental commitment.
You will probably be familiar with the initials ISCC, especially if you are aware of our range of BIO foams, manufactured from materials such as used cooking oil and forestry waste. In this case (which applies to ZFoam BIO PT and ZFoam BIO PN products), their raw materials are 100% renewable and their traceability is certified by the ISCC system, guaranteeing their sustainability.
The renewal of this certification has meant yet another year’s involvement by the entire ZFoam team to produce increasingly sustainable foams with a neutral environmental impact (or going beyond, as our BIO, PT and BIO PN foams are carbon negative) while retaining the same properties as conventional fossil fuel-based foams.
Taking a step further with ISCC Plus certification
We would like to stress that ISCC Plus certification is specifically adapted to industries working with materials such as plastic through compliance with additional complements that differentiate it from other certification types, for instance, ISCC EU (focusing on compliance with the sustainability requisites set out by the European Union’s Renewable Energy Directive).

In any case, ISCC certification reflects alignment with the goals of the organisation, which include:
- Traceability throughout supply chains
- Measuring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Zero deforestation
- Transition towards a circular economy
- Respect for human, labour and land rights
- Meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
In this respect, we are proud of the path towards sustainability on which we set out at the time, and the fact that it has spurred us to implement an ambitious recycling policy, make progress in incorporating a growing number of environmentally friendly materials and improve our processes (which are under constant review) for the purpose of minimising our atmospheric emissions as far as possible.
At ZFoam we are very sure of the where are path is leading us, which involves expanding the number of sustainable materials we use, following a responsible production model and investigating new ways of working that benefit both people and the planet.
Would you like to speak to us about it?
