ZFoam’s technical dunnage protects the part and optimises the available cubic space, reducing logistics costs per unit transported.

In projects involving the transport of sensitive electronic components such as electronic control units (ECUs) or sensors, we apply the requirements of VDA 4504.. We use ESD foams that ensure the controlled dissipation of static electricity. Our anti-static foams maintain their properties unchanged throughout the entire life cycle of the returnable kit and prevent latent damage to semiconductors that leads to costly warranty claims.

ZFoam packaging is an active tool for Lean Manufacturing within the plant. Our customised kitting trays address the need to eliminate ‘muda’ or waste at workstations.

We design solutions based on ZFoam and 5S Lean Manufacturing, such as two-tone trays that facilitate visual organisation. The introduction of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) requires packaging to have absolute dimensional stability. If the foam deforms under the weight of the part, the robot’s pick-up coordinates become misaligned, causing unnecessary line stoppages.
